Compatibility and measurements

The first step is to measure.

Nom modules are designed to fit many vans. But every van is different, so measuring carefully is essential.

Knowing the vehicle model is not enough.
What counts is the actual internal space.
Grab a tape measure. We'll guide you.

Every van is different.

Before checking compatibility, ask yourself:

Does your van have any of these interior features?

  • Additional wall coverings
  • Wheel arches with covers or custom structures
  • Panels in wood or other materials
  • Raised floor
  • Internal insulation applied subsequently
  • Previous modifications or installations

If the answer is yes to even just one of these points, it is essential to take actual internal measurements before comparing them with those of the Nom modules.

HOW TO TAKE MEASUREMENTS

STEP 1

Understand what you want to mount

Before measuring, choose the modules you are interested in .

Bed? Van Storage S or XL? Totem? Complete Starter Kit?...

Each module has specific dimensions and footprints.
⚠️ You can find all the measurements in the product sheets.

At this stage also ask yourself :
Are the van's walls paneled or exposed sheet metal? Do you already have a floorboard installed? Are there any interior panels that reduce usable space?
The upholstery and floor pans change their actual measurements. And the mounting points also change.

STEP 2

Measure the total cargo space

Now measure the available space.

You need three basic pieces of data:

📏 Total length of the cargo area

📏 Internal width (at the narrowest point)

📏 Usable internal height

These measures help you understand:

  • which modules can enter
  • how can you combine them
  • how much space is left to move

Don't measure "by eye." Every centimeter counts.

STEP 3

Measure the wheel arch

All Nom modules are designed to hide the wheel arch.
But each van has slightly different shapes.

You then need to measure:

📏 Wheel arch height

📏 Wheel arch width

📏 Wheel arch depth

Then compare these measurements with those indicated on the product page of the chosen module and check that the wheel arch fits within the expected space.

Compatibility is already provided for most vehicles (about 99%), but it is always a good idea to check.

STEP 4

Measure the wall with the side door

If you want to install a Van Storage S / XL or other side modules, carefully measure the side with the sliding opening.

You need:

📏 Available height

📏 Length of the wall

📏 Full clearance of the wheel arch on that side (see step 3)

This allows you to understand if the module fits correctly and if there is space for a passage or other accessories.

STEP 5

Evaluate any adjustments

Every van is different. Some walls are curved. Some trim sticks out.

In some cases, small cuts or local adjustments may be necessary to achieve perfect integration of the module.

You can customize them, adapt them, make them yours.

⚠️ One last important thing: modules must always be secured for safety reasons.

The fastening methods depend on local regulations and the use of the vehicle.
