The Nom Cook Out Kit is the complete kit for van life: sleep inside, cook outside. Pull-Out Van Bed, Folding Mattress and Pull-Out Kitchen for the Nom Bed, designed to work together from day one and simple to assemble yourself.
The birch plywood structure is sturdy, lightweight and designed to last through everyday use. The slatted system opens the bed platform up to 130 cm wide; the drop-down doors with push & lock open in one motion and remain closed while driving.
The kitchen fixes into the first section of the bed using holes already in place and slides out of the tailgate up to 91 cm: stove worktop on top, a drawer for cutlery and dishes below. When you are done it slides back under the bed and the van stays free.
The Nom Mattress completes the kit with handcrafted comfort. Handmade in Italy with high-density foam and a removable water-repellent cover, it transforms from bed to sofa in seconds thanks to its modular design.
In the Cook Out Kit the bed is installed on the left side of the vehicle, so the kitchen slides freely out of the tailgate.

The Cook Out Kit can be assembled independently, with no carpentry experience. All panels arrive pre-drilled and labelled with a code you will find in the instructions.

Position in the van
Assemble the bed first, then fix the kitchen into the first section of the structure. The bed is installed on the left side of the vehicle, so the kitchen slides freely out of the tailgate.

Do I need to modify my van?
No. The kit is removable and modular: no drilling and no changes to the vehicle. Fit it and take it out whenever you like.
Does the bed need to be homologated?
The Nom Outdoor Bed is designed as an easily removable module, not permanently built into the vehicle.
For this reason, in most cases no homologation is required, because the vehicle keeps its original configuration and the module can be removed without structural changes.
That said, regulations vary depending on the country and the use of the vehicle.
Does the bed arrive assembled?
No.
